They were just waiting for conference play, since it matters now!

We go on a 9-0 run to open it playing good defense then allow them to go on an 8-0 run and it looks like our defensive intensity is back in slow motion.

That was a trash call. Delaware’s Carter has been getting away with murder against him and Kalina.

We need to get Cacok running and out on the break. Their big men can't keep up with him.

Winning home games keeps the fans coming back and fired up to see the team play. Although the students are away still, the crowds haven't been too bad. So, not only could we start conference play 1-0, we could do it at Trask. That would likely bring everyone back for the Drexel game Tuesday. If we could somehow pull out a W there as well, 2-0 to start conference play would essentially wipe out the dismal start we had.

On another note, i'm not sure why but I have a feeling Kalina is going to come on and be a difference maker for this team. Yes, it was against a very small Greensboro team, but I liked his aggressiveness in attacking the basket including a nice move for a two handed flush. He did a good job keeping the ball up high on rebounds and going back up without dribbling or allowing smaller players to get a chance at taking the ball. I really think Joe Wolf is having an positive impact on his game. As a 7 footer, there aren't many coaches who really now how to get the most out of that size at the HS level. Wolf may be the perfect coach for him at the college level. A 7 footer with a long body and decent skills, he may be a project that pays off huge. I may be wrong, but i'm getting a good feeling about him.

Dear god I hope you are right!

There can be miracles if you believe

We look really good in the zone. Especially helpful when Kalina is in the game.

I’m sure Kalina’s a nice kid. I don’t dislike him at all. I just don’t see how anyone could see him play and think he’ll be a difference maker in the CAA, especially if you’re familiar with this league. He’s not a scoring threat and plays below avg defense.

RE: Delaware
We should play zone 75% of the time. Our biggest weakness is stopping the drive and the zone is stopping the drive.

We played a really good first two minutes. That was the best UNCW basketball I’ve seen all year. Then the rest of the first half happened. No rhythm, slow defense, bad passes, rushed shots, and no hustle.

Find some passion and play smart.

After our hot start we went ice cold. Cacok hasn't scored yet if I'm not mistaken. Just really sloppy lookin ball

He hasn’t. He’s 0-5 and looks frustrated. Fornes was getting chippy with one of their guards too. I imagine the physical play will increase in the next half. We’ll see how the stripes handle that.
