RE: Bryan Ellis for OC
For whatever it's worth, the buzz in the locker room at Thompson High School is that Mark Freeman is coming to UAB. Whether that is to be the new OC or just the additional staff position I have no idea. For that matter, I have no idea if anyone who is buzzing has a clue. Just passing it on...

Mark Freeman has an awesome offensive mind. That would be a home run hire as well.

Remember throwing his name out there during the regular season matchup between Thompson and Hoover. Thought he was in too good of a situation to come to UAB, but I’d give him a call regardless. Clark and Freeman would kill it on the recruiting trail together and on inhome visits. Quite a few state championships between them two. I think schools are allowed to add a 10th assistant this offseason, too.

No disrespect to what your saying and wishing, But, Correct me If I am wrong thought Les Just won 8 games for the Blazers. Not sure what you guys expect , but we were picked to win like 2 or 3 games and we won 8 and went to a bowl game, Think I will take that all day long next season with a Bowl win. Guess you guys no better, happy New Year.

Maybe some of is would like to score more than 6 points against the lone MAC team that won a bowl game this year.

Ohio was an excellent team, but we still should be able to muster more than 6 points. We hung 34 on Mississippi State in 2014 when they were ranked #1 in the country. Even a Garrick McGee coached team mustered 15 against the real Ohio U.

There is a need for a special teams coach. In all seriousness I hope this is true. Still has some great instate recruits left on all levels (HS,PS,JuCo,transfer market).

Don't forget an additional assistant spot will be added on January 9th when field staff sizes increase per NCAA legislation.

If this actually happens, I guarantee you our instate recruiting will take a HUGE spike in the right direction, especially with Birmingham and Mobile prospects.

How's the talent in Montgomery seems to be headed in the right direction.

Sh*t, We won 8 games because of Bill Clark and David Reeves work with the defense. Les lost us the NT, Charlotte, and the OHIO game. Really didn’t give us a chance against NT or Ohio. Nearly costed us the MTSU, La Tech, and UTSA games.

If we would have opened it up we would have won maybe three games and finished the season with Binn at qb because AJ would have been in a body cast. I'll take 8 wins and everyone bitching as opposed to three wins and everyone bitching any day.
At the end of the day we were running what HCBC wanted.
Yep! That's how you become coach of the year. You win with what you have...

Not sure how Erdely could have been clobbered anymore than he was in the current offense. He took a beating in just about every game......especially the last one.

You know changes are coming. After finishing #98 in total offense, I can just about guarantee you the 10th coach will be on that side of the ball. Clark is so involved with the defense, I do not worry about that side of the ball. For reference, they finished a respectable #38.
