Mason's roster was really thin, small, and young coming into this season, so, somewhat surprised they have been as competitive. Tribe recruit Greg Calixte is the only real post player at 6'8", and he's only getting 8 mins/game. Otherwise, a very small lineup and only 8 eligible, scholarship players. No road gimmees for sure, but this is simply not a GMU team that has any position we don't match up with and actually have advantage over in spots. If Nathan stays out of foul trouble, he can dominate this game, and I expect to see us better our team blocks/game average. Our depth should be a factor in wearing them down late. We've had an extra day of rest and prep time, also. Next step in this team's continued growth. Hope it's a breakout, close to home, game for Paul. Go Tribe!

Like most games, the key is to stay in front of our man with no clean path to the hoop on defense, rebound, and hit free throws. Do at least 2 of the 3 and we should be in good shape. I love our shooting from range, but I would love to punish GMU with back cuts to the hoop. They are a young team and have no doubt been instructed to defend the perimeter aggressively. They are primed to have that aggression used against them. Get that win Tribe.

Yes, but it sounds like they really had a beef this time. Does anyone have a link to the last minute of that game? Hmm, I think I'll check the Mason site - maybe they are showing it.

** Edit ** Interesting, no video of the last 7 seconds on the Mason site.

GMU has started slow all year, then clawed back into games. Even Auburn blew them out, then allowed them to catch up before shutting them down the rest of the way. If we are able to break out to a comfortable lead, we've got to play the whole 40 full throttle...no let up.

I absolutely LOVE this game on the schedule. I live about 10 mins from the arena and have been waiting for another hoops game in NOVA for a long time. I’ll be there with 6 other Tribe fans.

Agreed. This is a game I'd like to see every year

Game should draw lots of W&M alums from Northern Va. and DC.

We play GMU next season in Williamsburg as part of home and home series Tony put together with an old CAA rival.

I'm bringing three more loud Tribe fans! Let's turn the stands green and gold! (but with Tribe fans, you guys get it)
