Definitely! If App pulls this off, I would like to personally remove the asterisk from their SBC title.

Should be an asterisk on Troy’s title since they didn’t have to go through us.

It's all good. We'll duke it out in the East next season. Will be tough to beat APP with no Silvers and no Chunn, and possibly no Brown. Thankfully the UCF job appears off the table. Still a long ways to go until it's all settled though.

We won't have Lamb at QB next year either so there's going to be X-factors galore next season.

With all the new coaches in the league and ULM and GSU entering year two with their staffs, it's going to be an unpredictable year all around.

Love playing another championship G5 program, would enjoy the town, but the date is the only bad part. This is the only non-NY6 bowl game in which Conference champions will meet.

Ya'll should be excited about a different venue if anything.

I suspect we'll see a dramatic drop off in App fans attending a game 10 hours away 2 days before Christmas.

It's rough on timing for sure, as it was on Dec 23 when we played in it.

But convince people to make the trip. The town really goes all out for the game and there's a lot of events for it.

You'll get good viewership too being primetime and the only bowl on at the time.

Welcome to Mobile Mountaineers. Date stinks but if you’re going book downtown hotels:

Battle house
Hampton Inn
Riverview Plaza - team hotel
Holiday Inn
Admiral

All easy and safe walking distance to downtown bars, restaurants and parade.

Do your tailgating on Dauphin Street then head to stadium a few hours before kick.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

I've stayed at both Riverview and Battle House while in Mobile on business and at our game against USA a few years back. Mobile is a fun town, plenty of trouble/fun to be found off of Dauphin St.

Unfortunately, due to the date this is the only game I cannot go to.

"Appalachian State QB Taylor Lamb has thrown 27 TD passes and six interceptions. The only other quarterback in the nation with more than 25 touchdown passes and fewer than eight interceptions is Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, the Heisman Trophy favorite."

That is wrong, Logan Woodside, the Toledo QB, is 28-5.

The article actually mentions this, but the way you quote the article, makes it sound like Taylor is the only one.

God the complaining from BGSU in 2015.....

We loved it in 2014. So did Kareem Hunt05-stirthepot

Same kicker. One of the nations best. First team all MAC. He will break the scoring record at Toledo after next season.

Same QB.
Different receivers.
One of the same RBs. Another 1000 yard rusher. 10 in as many years. We are a factory!!!

So in two seasons he will break the record? As long as Hunt and the TE are gone, we should be good. As long as Stringer is playing, App should win.

Totally different team without that dude on the field.

App should win? Terry Swanson has as many yards and more TD's than Hunt did last year. Toledo is 39 spots ahead of App in the computer polls. We have beaten FCS playoff team, Two 8-4 teams, a 7-6 team x2, a 6-6 team, and our losses are to an 8-4 and 10-2 team.
We also have a sophomore Wideout as good as anyone his size in the country.
This team is different than 2016.

I believe you copied and pasted a post from last year and changed a couple names.

Should be a good game again. Keys to the game will be App's pressure on Logan without Tee Sims in the game and how well App's oline blocks to open holes for Moore and the turnover battle, nothing earth shattering really.

I believe we have a 2.5 game better record this season and have played more than 2 or 3 top 100 teams.

Are you arguing it isn't going to be a good game? What exactly are you predicting?

I think it'll be a game decided by 7 or less, something like 34-28. I'd love your prediction.
