RE: 4 way tie at the top
It's easy to say that the best team should be rewarded with the home field advantage but there will inevitably be that year where there is no clear best team. As we move to divisions and we potentially have two undefeated teams playing dissimilar schedules, how do you determine the best team? I think the answer is that it is the team ranked highest in the CFP rankings, but it will eventually be an issue. That being said, it's probably the best approach.

Best team hosting is a nod to the olden days. I like it.

You’re in luck, that’s exactly how it’ll be determined.

Still salty about that 2012 tiebreaker I see.

Isn't the issue that it's tough for the league to get anyone into the CFP rankings, though...?

Head to head is always the first tiebreaker, but from there it will be CFP Ranking.

Quote:The Sun Belt also inaugurates divisional play for 2018 and will stage its first championship game, that being held at the home site of the divisional winner with the highest ranking in the CFP poll. The first-ever championship game could be played either on Friday, Nov. 30, or Saturday, Dec. 1, in 2018. Benson said that the league athletic directors worked on 2018 scheduling during a Sunday meeting.

Thank you for that link but I remembered hearing something similar to the tiebreaking procedure mentioned in the article you cited. I was hoping for the CFP's 1-130('ish) rankings link if one exists? Thanks again 04-cheers

It doesnt... Thats why this rule only makes sense in a P5 league with multiple (ANY) teams ranked in the top 25.
