Troy wins.

Idaho was literally killed by their own Special Teams unit. A better team probably beats Troy today.

Welp, good game, Troy. This is the year where we only have one big weakness but it's a BIG weakness.

Nepotism at its finest

To be somewhat fair, he's really a WR. We got left in the lurch by a previous backup QB and now we're just trying not to burn a redshirt.

To be fair, Petrinos gonna Petrino

They tried one. It just wasn't a very good one.

Now the question is, how injured is Linehan? I mean, I already don't like our odds to run the table in our last 3 but they go to zero if he's gone.

I hope Troy fans appreciate what they have in Silvers and Chunn. Truly FBS upper eshelon FBS caliber players. Would love to have talent like that at AppState. Silvers release and arm strength are very impressive. Chunn can run and catch and break tackles. Wow.

We do. Silvers can be frustrating sometimes with his inconsistency every now and then, but he's been very good overall. Chunn has been phenomenal.

I'd agree with that. Silvers doesn't really impress me as much but when Chunn gets rolling he's hard to stop. And he has moves for a guy his size. I could see him playing on Sunday with someone.

I'd take your QB too. Great arm. Great running ability. Great size. 04-rock

Most do. We have a handful of ignorant fans that want the quarterback benched and the coaches fired, even today.

Chunn, yes. Silvers can make any throw, but he does not have the accuracy or the decision making that some of the better QB's have. Chunn will be playing on Sunday's shortly.

Haven't read the thread and didn't see the game. Was it as close as the score insinuates?

Kind of. We lead 17-7 much of the game, then 24-14. We returned a pick for a 30-14 score late, but it was called back, and Idaho scored with 0:23 in the 4th to make 24-21. Was it neck and neck most of the time? No, but they were always in the game, few breaks here and they and they could have won.

Game probably came down to a single penalty. Troy was kicking a field goal to go up 20-14 with 4 minutes left, which would have given Idaho the ball with a TD needed to win, but the Vandals ran into the kicker. Troy got a free first down and scored a TD On the next play to go up 10.

Trojans led the entire way nearly, but if Idaho doesn't make a couple critical mistakes, they are in with a chance to win late, and not needing a miracle onside kick.

I won't disagree with that, but we had 9 penalties and were -2 in turnovers. We made probably 3 times as many mistakes as Idaho and still found a way to win. Nothing they were doing offensively or defensively was all that great. We'll have to to get out of our own way if we want to win out.

The point is, you controlled the game because it was Idaho, and they are pretty bad. A better team probably beats Troy Thursday Night.
