It was definitely correct, but it seems like calling 3 seconds in basketball. Happens all the time, rarely called.

The only gripe I have on D is why continue to blitz? All it is does is make the QB start running which is his bread and butter. He's a questionable passer at best so just sit in coverage, play containment with the DE's, and have one linebacker as a spy.

Our offensive playcalling is a baffling. I'm starting to think Coach K needs to go. Brown was struggling, but we still weren't committed enough to the run. Noble got 1 carry all night and it went for 20+ yards. We need more of the thunder/lightning combo in the run game instead of wearing down Brown. After we crossed mid-field on the last drive, we should have just run the ball until we were either in field goal range or the clock ran out.

Now we've put ourselves in a much tougher situation as far as getting a bowl bid. The last two home games we SHOULD win, but they now become must wins. It would be nice to steal one of these road games, but our play on the road thus far makes them seem very unlikely.

Why we don't have a 4 headed monster for a RB corp is baffling.

Brown
Lee
Noble
Stanley

Repeat

Because a RB needs to develop a rhythm? And having 4 running backs sharing the load never allows 1 RB to get that rhythm?

The difference is when the leaper falls on another player from the opposing team it's a penalty. Most of the time the leaper does not fall on another player therefore it's not a penalty. He just leaps and blocks it or misses. I've seen it called in a couple pro games and a couple college already this season.

It's just the 1st season back and people are already calling for a coach to go? How about not everyone freaking out. We still have 5 games left and time to go 6-6 and anything else is icing.

See y'all at USM next weekend.

The dude sucks, and the practice thing with Kalin Heath is a bad look. Like last time 6-6 doesn't guarantee a bowl bid. Not even sure it's a winning record.

Especially when the OC decides to go pass happy to start the game & for a couple of series at the start of the game.

I was told the OL was begging Koenning to run zone read plays between the tackles, and he kept dinking it around. The OL said the plays would have been there.

I wasn't able to watch the game that much because of online feeds, but it seems we didn't run very many misdirections either.

My thinking is this : 4-6 plays per guy, and see what running style works best.

That’s how our last possession in regulation should’ve been managed.

FAU used 9 different runners in their 804 yard, 69-whatever beatdown of North Texas. The most carries any of them had was 17, followed by 13. jheath43 was correct. Koenning is really bad. We are only averaging 4.3 points per 2nd half, over the last 3 games. We had 10 offensive possessions last night with no points (8 punts and 2 fumbles). Go ahead and stick a happy face on that if you want to, but those are really bad stats on any level of play. I apologize to jheath43! He was right all along!

RE: UAB vs Charlotte Thread
Well just got back a bit ago from Charlotte & thoughts - They have a very nice campus & stadium for it's size though not a good tailgate for the masses near the stadium other than the Alumni Pavillion. I won't b***h about our parking at LF when theirs is pretty nonexistent other than far away from stadium & $20 to park in deck. Everyone was nice before & after the game. Well onto the game - they had nothing to lose & everything to gain & played that way. They made plays, we didn't. When they made mistakes they overcame them, we didn't. They had big plays, we didn't. They had their QB, we had no answer to contain him. When we managed to put some pressure on him, he just broke out into the open for a 10+ yd gain.
