In the end horrible play calling on offense (throwing the ball when we moved it at will on the ground), defense (nothing like seeing an 8 yard cushion on 3rd and 4) and pass protection doomed us. Watching a 4th year senior QB ignore scrambling 3 yards for the 3rd down conversion and instead throws it deep into double coverage for what would be a game winning TD. It's a terrible decision, but arguably the best throw of the day and the WR drops it in the end zone. I think that about sums up the season so far.

The reffing was absolutely terrible. It didn't seem to make a difference in the game fortunately, but when a DE gets tackled from behind, gets up, is held back by the neck of his jersey and still gets the sack it would be nice to still see a flag for holding.

This loss didn't kill our bowl hopes entirely but it's going to take a lot, and if we can score more than 1 TD against the worst scoring defense in the country at home, that doesn't bode well.

My only debate: Your WR didn't drop the pass. Our DB got a hand in there and knocked it away. It was the defensive play of the game.
