Totally agree on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. One of the best shows on TV.

Currently, I’m working my way through Catastrophe. On Prime. It’s a thinking man’s This is Us. But with more...Catastrophe.

Yup. Mrs Maisel is funny tv. Better yet---the series seems to really be hitting its stride this year. I thought Season Three was their best so far.

Glad to see all the love for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

In a truly remarkable time for television, Maisel stands out.

The Old Man on FX

I have watched three episodes and I was hooked with the first episode. They don't tell you a lot. You get it as it goes and it goes to places you didn't expect from the first episode.
Jeff Bridges, John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman. This is on a level with Breaking Bad. You can thank me later for this tip.

I'm surprised no one has picked up on this series here. I posted it on a Tech board and several are hooked on it like me.

Great show so far. Bridges is a bad ass in everything he does, but to think he's doing some intense fighting scenes after having some super serious health battles the past few years is amazing.

The show almost makes me want to get a rottweiler.

Awesome recommendation, pretty hard not to get hooked by the end of the first episode. Thanks!

The Bear on FX on Hulu is great, very realistic depiction of service industry life.

Tokyo Vice on HBO. An American-born, aspiring journalist gets a job at a major Japanese newspaper and falls down a rabbit hole into the world of Yakuza organized crime. It was just announced that a second season is on the way.

A new show on Apple - Black Bird - is off to a tremendous start. Dennis Lehane wrote most of the screenplay - he's got a great track record with movies like Mystic River and Gone Baby Gone - but it's based on a real story about a criminal who was recruited to befriend a serial killer in prison and help identify some of his victims. Taron Egerton (Rocketman) is the criminal and Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya and Richard Jewell) as the serial killer headline the great cast (which also features Ray Liotta in one of his last roles before his recent death).

Just found out Peaky Blinders, Netflicks series, final season was on the other day. I have watched 4 episodes. Although the series is a little dark anyway, this season is much darker than the others. If you haven't watched any of it, it is well worth a look. A lot of violence and foul language. Speaking of language, you will have to get accustomed to the accents as they can be very difficult to understand. You might want to turn on the closed captions till you get used to the way they talk. One of my favorite series.

I know everyone is talking about it, but I just started watching Ted Lasso. It is great! Worth the watch. And yes, I'm late to the show...

Better Call Saul is back on with the last few episodes. Just watched the latest episode and it gave me that empty feeling in the pit of my stomach like the old Breaking Bad. A lot of surprises and many more to come it seems. Vince Gilligan is a master story teller and always has twists I usually don't see coming. There is supposed to be a big twist that the writers say nobody will see coming.

Im only 3 episodes in, but "The Offer" on Paramount plus is very good. Set in Hollywood in the 1970's, it follows a young producer for Paramount Studios trying to get "The Godfather" produced. Miles Teller (from Top Gun Maverick) is the main character and has a pretty solid supporting cast.

I watched all of the Offer and found it to be one of the best shows of the year. But I'm a big Godfather fan. The guy playing Al Pacino looks and sounds just like him, although he doesn't have a big part. The guy playing Robert Evans steals the show. My only complaint is I'm guessing this show plays up the role Al Ruddy (the Miles Teller character) has in making the film, probably at the expense of some truths in how things came about.

And I don't get the sense that Francis Ford Coppola and Al Ruddy are that close today (both are still alive - FFC is like 82 and Ruddy is in early 90's). But that doesn't deter the show from being good entertainment.

Ah man, BCS has got to be the best tv ever! The writing, acting, etc., are just superb. And although I think the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is really good, I thought this season wasn’t as good as the former ones. Maybe I’m just tired of it, because a lot of people think it was the best season ever.
