Not hard to sell out when students are paid to go to games and tickets are practically free! Congrats!

So I am not sure where you get your info that students are paid to attend games at GCU. Care to share your source? As I understand it, students actually pay to be a part of the Havocs.
What I do not understand is why other schools are so focused on their non-student fans/boosters at the expense of their own students.

A reporter was at the game last year in which the school handed out $1000 dollar scholarships to "Havocs." The reporter failed to realize that every student at GCU is considered a Havoc and they had been handing out money to Evening Cohorts, Online Students, ect. during the season, so really it was just GCU handing out money to students. However, you had to be at the game to get the scholarship, so the narrative that GCU gives students money to show up at games was created.

I remember Nevada giving away stuff to students at games when I went there too. They should start doing that for football games this year 03-banghead

Thanks for the history lesson on how the rumor started. If I recall there were also several $1,000 dollar scholarships that the Havocs themselves gave out during games last year to help various organizations. Seems like a bad invest on the part of the students if they are coming to games only because they "hope" to get the 1 in 2,000 plus scholarship.
