GSU definitely has leverage in this situation either way the apple falls. Honestly, they need this game more than they need another FCS. With a new coach trying to figure out his best players, Georgia State may not be as bad as they appeared in Week 1. Memphis would be a good opportunity to reflect improvement whereas an FCS team would be a let down.

Possibly get the Sun Belt involved as it is the AAC trying to reschedule a conference game. Force Memphis to agree to return to GSU another time and schedule a one off at Arkansas State.

We have a four game series with Memphis coming up.

With all the wrangling...they should've had it moved to this season. Regardless, my post is pointless. Forgot about contract termination clauses.

I don't have time to look at all the schedules, but FSU, Miami and the F_U's all need games. Maybe can get one of those to come in. Obviously the F_U's being the most realistic.

UTSA is not giving up a home game. Likely, either call Maine or you lose the game. And, it's probably not a good idea to call them considering 2 FCS losses gives you an embarrassment of a season.

The only justification for putting any real effort into finding a 12th is to help players with their stats or try to get to 6-6 if you think you will be 5-6.

Financially it really makes no sense. Schools have marketed their schedules and a late addition is going to be a hard sell and you are going to lose some people who made plans based on not having a game on the date added.
