TU v Louisiana Observations
Dominated a bowl team from last year for most of the game. Brewer will easily be a thousand yard back and maybe push for 2,000. I am just not sure the QBs are capable of the accuracy it takes to really be a top team in the league. They just need constant work and more gametime.
Kick game looks good in spite of new faces at punter and snapper.
Defense tackled well and ran to the ball well, but we gave up too many points. We need a better pass rush in this AAC league.
We were forced into playing an afternoon game in the summer sun which was not ideal, but it kept us from conflicting with the OU v Ohio St game. These summertime afternoon games can be vicious in the Oklahoma sun.
When I got home after the game, there were some highlights on ESPN on Brewers performance. Its good for him to get that well earned recognition. Shamari Brooks (true freshman from Union) played a few reps so i guess his shirt is gone. Not sure if we really need him though with Corey Taylor doing a good job as backup. I would also have liked to see Skipper in there some, but PM may want President to get as many reps as possible.
Now its on to the "STUPID GAME" - Toledo in far away Ohio. A game I wish had never been scheduled. We won't have ten fans in the stands and will never recruit a player from the Toledo area. Well, at least it'll be cooler for the players - the only positive I can think of.

Joke of the day from some of the bottom dwellers in CFB - They can always say "WELL, AT LEAST WE'ER NOT BAYLOR". Baylor lost to Liberty in week one and to UTSA yesterday. :)

Defense tackled well and ran to the ball well? What game are you watching?
This is the WORST Tu defense I've ever watched.

RE: TU v Louisiana Observations
Due to ESPN3 being absolutely terrible, I can't really say I saw the whole game.......probably half of it. What happened to us being on TV almost every week like in the past........AAC contract????? I really wasn't overly impressed with the defense........you can't look good 50% of the time and win many games.......so again this year, we are just going to have to out score people.........and I'm not sure we have the QB to do that week in and week out. I had predicted 7-5 and a bowl game......now I'm hoping for 6-6 and a bowl game. The Toledo game this week might be the difference and I don't think we will be favored and I wouldn't put any money on it!!!
