DALLAS (SMU) - The No. 6 SMU women’s swimming & diving team will host the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday, Jan. 8, at Perkins Natatorium on the campus of SMU.

This meet will feature SMU Olympians Flavia Rigamonti, Celina Lemmen, Anja Carman and the rest of the Mustang squad. Georgia will also feature several Olympians including Mary DeScenza, Kara Lynn Joyce, Amanda Weir, Sarah Poewe and Samantha Arsenault.

SMU last had a dual meet on Oct. 29, when they defeated Texas A&M, 181-117. Since then, many of the team members have participated in major individual competitions. Lemmen swam in the U.S. Open Dec. 3-5 and captured two bronze medals. Carman, Rigamonti, Tamara Sambrailo, Sara Nordenstam and Martina Hrdinova all participated in the European SC Championships. Rigamonti won gold in the 800 free, while Carman had two top-five finishes.
