I would suggest getting the microphone out of her face before the third time she mentioned it

They need to learn to stage these interviews like Fox does.

Or at least get permission before they stick the camera and mic in their direction. Hope that dimwit reporter learned something, but I doubt she will.

I always thought that its ridiculous to ask what do you think about a disaster that is in progress. Reporters sometimes are just heartless to fill airtime.

What's worse is when they stick a microphone in the face of someone who has lost a loved one.

Drew Griffin and his crew saved a motorist this morning when he droved into the water that he thought was a roadway. It depends on who it is. You had some CNN crew helped victims and got hugs and thank yous for it.

The applause will be thunderous. Her acceptance speech will talk about #resist

Houston media is way too full of people hoping for the next hurricane to make them the next Dan Rather.

It's one of them good/bad. It's the coverage and interviews that the rest of the country sees that drive donations.

And most are ok with talking to a camera. Should be simple enough to find interviewee's willing and those who wish not to be should simply decline. What I've always done.

That's everywhere.

If an IC wouldn't have made me stop them I was going to allow a TV crew to sneak into the warm zone on a hazmat call after being told to avoid the area just so we would have to do a gross decon of them with cold hydrant water and they could take a ride to the ER in just a tyvek suit. I wouldn;t have let them get anywhere to get hurt but by policy anything that enters the warm zone gets decontaminated before it leaves the scene.

We also received a memo one morning after an apartment fire reminding operators of aerial and deck gun supplied master streams to be aware of where the streams were going. Seems the TV crew (same one BTW) got sent rolling ass over tea kettle down a hill behind an apartment after sneaking into the collapse zone. The aerial master stream was working the fire and accidentally(?) overshot the fire area and struck them. 1000 gallons per minute at 150lbs of pressure moves things pretty easily.

And I can't say how I know but a straight stream from an 1 3/4" hoseline will slap mess up someone's $50 hairdo.

Have you seen Rather lately. He's gone fully off the rails.
