Facebook joining the college football scene
Facebook will live stream 9 CUSA and 6 MWC games this season. This will be exclusive to Facebook with no other broadcast options.

I guess there is a roku app. I know the older Apple TVs don't have a facebook app. Depending on what is on I'll watch streams if I can get them on TV but I generally won't hook a computer to my TV nor will cast.

Our game @ Wyoming is going to be on Facebook...... Not sure how I feel about it, but at least I'll get to see it.

It may become the norm but for now I'd still rather be on TV or at least ESPN3.

Would be different than ESPN 3 really if you have Roku or something else.

The problem with Facebook is that you have to have an account to view streams, and there's no simple App to sync it up with smart TV's.

Maybe they are ahead of their time, but the reality is, ESPN3 is better.

I'm glad I don't have to watch Sun Belt football games through Facebook.

RE: Facebook joining the college football scene
Will Facebook be paying for the streaming equipment, commentators, and broadcasting it to all Facebook members on some kind of "recommended live streams" tab or is this essentially schools using their own cameras to live stream on their own Facebook pages?

I have watched MLS games streaming on Facebook and it is always a strong picture and audio quality. I even prefer it over ESPN3.

I didn't have to be signed in to watch the ASN games last year, though I suppose you would have to be if you're using an app.
