Georgia State Tailgating Rules
Georgia State tailgating rules

So they just published the new rules for tailgating at the new yard. Are these pretty Sun Belt standard or more like the only person who thought Dean Wormer was the hero of Animal House came up with them?

Good luck enforcing some of those rules.

You would have to have one cop per parking spot. That's 6k cops. LOL

RE: Georgia State Tailgating Rules
Looks fairly standard. The lots not opening until 9AM is a bit of a buzz kill though. I'd also be interested to see how the city police reacts to people with open containers crossing the street between lots.

Looks like you're requiring tents to be in parking spots, requiring the purchase of 2 spots for one vehicle and 1 tent. That's a standard thing at Georgia Southern that took some people a while to get used to when it was implemented.

Edit: Just saw the no liquor rule.....Stan will be upset.

RE: Georgia State Tailgating Rules
Tailgating sites will not open prior to 9:00 A.M. before the official beginning of the event.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages may begin no more than 4 hours before the starting time of the event. Consumption of alcoholic beverages during an event is prohibited.

Ok, so say GAST has a night game starting at 7. Yea, folks are going to be watching that clock till 3 PM before they pop the top on Schlitz Malt Liquor.

It doooooes kindaaa look like the gast logo..

And say they have a noon game. Everybody gotta be out 1 hour after the end of the game?

I also like the part where drinking during the event is prohibited. GAST is going from a facility that sells beer - Didn't they do that during their games?
To prohibition of drinking during the game. Are they not going to have such available like some Sun Belt programs are doing?
You'd think that now would be the time, when they are already accustomed to having it.

Most of these policies though are probably just in case they need to enforce them. Maybe it gives them a choice of reasons to charge/haul away trouble makers if need be.
