Yeah, it's really good too...you just have to sign up for it and then get like 10 of your friends to sign up for it, then they get 10 of their friends to sign up and so on and so on. Next step: profit

Nice 04-cheers

That's how you punch your ticket to the Herbalife Bowl, right?

Just dont be like them and go to their board like insecure children like they would if the roles were reversed.

BRtransplant is probably shivering in some corner right now..Wasnt he spouting off about national perception and pecking order just a few days ago?

Shivering in a corner? Not hardly. Preseason polls are pretty worthless, though it is nice to be recognized in them I suppose. I pay much more attention to how team's and conference's perform in bowl games. That's where you really find out which conferences were actually the best any given year.

Tech beat Navy in our bowl game last year and that's probably the reason we received any votes at all in this poll. Coaches tend to reward quality wins more than sports writers do. This year, we've got to replace our QB and two stud receivers that are now in the NFL. That's a pretty tall order. We'll see.

You are about as worse as Panama. You change your opinion to suite what ever your reality at the time is. You were just on here blathering about perception and perceived pecking order and now that is gone I guess perception does not matter.... You are predictable and boring...03-yawn

I'm not sure who Panama is, but your grammar and spelling could sure use some work. But to the point you're trying to make, I don't think the SBC is perceived by anybody in the college football world (other than some on this board) as being better than CUSA. One coaches poll won't change that. The SBC has still had only one team to ever be ranked in the Top 25, and that ranking lasted all of one week. CUSA has had many teams that have been ranked, and ranked multiple times. This is an irrefutable fact.

Wanna know what the entire college football world thinks of when they hear "Conference USA"? They think "CUSAINO" ("Conference USA In Name Only"). That's the perception, sport.

Truth is, it's only we fans of G5 conference schools that give any thought to any of us at all. I never give FCS level football a second thought, but I do enjoy keeping up with all of the G5 conferences as those are the schools my team competes with for everything.

The P5 and the G5 are still evolving. We'll see lots more changes in both over the coming few years. The biggest change will be that the huge chasm that's growing between our two levels will get even larger. Once the AAC is convinced that it is wasting its time trying to create a "P6" (and this may take them awhile), I do think that some shuffling of members will occur among the AAC, SBC, and CUSA. I'm sure we'll be one, big, happy family then.

I think that's true for the most part, but I'd argue that if a G5 team has some success they get some real attention within the state. When I was in high school and college it was TCU. Then obviously Houston.
