He's just going after the dirtiest. There's no way that A.D. is clean.

Doubt he's going to be anywhere near as successful this time around though. You can rest assured that as soon as the attorney filed the FOIA request for Freeze's records Bjork made sure his were cleaned up.

Even the ones who took improper inducements? How many Ole Miss recruits do you suppose were oblivious to improprieties?

@AntonioCMorales

Ole Miss has received its 24-hour notice of a COI ruling. Scheduled to receive it at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, according to sources.

@38Godfrey
Ole Miss has received a two-year bowl ban and multiple scholarship restrictions. Show causes for every coach. Details soon.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. The penalties were deserved. But there are other institutions that deserved this and more.

But here's the scary part. Even though a loss of scholarships and a two year bowl ban are bad, if this is the equivalent of the worst penalty that the NCAA will consider handing out then we are in for some really ruff years and some major violations. Of all of the penalties the 2 year bowl ban permits players to leave without penalty. Coaches can be replaced. But in the great scheme of things does this equal what the potential from cheating wholesale might accomplish? We'll see.

Basically, Ole Miss got what USC got and their former coaches all got show-cause penalties.

It's going to hurt Ole Miss much more than it hurt USC. Kiffin and Orgeron recruited very well for USC after their sanctions, and USC had a lot of talent, just not much depth. Ole Miss will be thin on both talent and depth.

Agreed. Now I wonder if, or how long, they choose to hang onto Luke as apparently he's been hit with a show cause as well. It may be why they named him HC before the sanctions came out. And if he stays will a staff overhaul be mandated?

I'm hearing that Luke was not named in the report, no show cause on him, so he'll be staying as coach. The only people I've seen named are no longer with Ole Miss's coaching staff, so I'm not sure if any new assistants will be needed

If that proves to be the case that will be welcomed news for Ole Miss folks. Some continuity is important to recovery.
