RE: Environmentalists and Democrats colluded with Russia

"...According to the former Secretary General of NATO, “Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called nongovernmental organizations – environmental organizations working against shale gas – to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas.” Other officials have indicated the same scheme is unfolding in the U.S...."
Congressional Committee starting investigation as Russia shell companies in Bermuda are funding environmental groups to try to reduce US production. And Hillary knew about this.
"...If a document posted last year on WikiLeaks is to be believed, Clinton campaign staff summarized in an email attachment Hillary Clinton’s remarks on the subject during a private speech:
Clinton Talked About “Phony Environmental Groups” Funded By The Russians To Stand Against Pipelines And Fracking. “We were up against Russia pushing oligarchs and others to buy media. We were even up against phony environmental groups, and I’m a big environmentalist, but these were funded by the Russians to stand against any effort, oh that pipeline, that fracking, that whatever will be a problem for you, and a lot of the money supporting that message was coming from Russia....” "
And Hillary's campaign manager was financially involved:
...More relevant to the issue of Russian efforts to undermine U.S. oil and gas, Mr. Podesta served on the board of a solar energy start-up where he invested alongside a fund backed by the Russian government. Last year a Clinton campaign spokesman said that when Mr. Podesta returned to the White House in 2014, he “transferred the entirety of his holdings” in the solar company “to his adult children.” Last month he didn’t seem any more eager to discuss the details with Fox Business Network ’s Maria Bartiromo than Mr. Podesta’s adult daughter was when your humble correspondent called her last year.
Perhaps Mr. Mnuchin can get the full story as he seeks Mr. Podesta’s insights on Russia’s energy investment strategy.
First, Russia isn't consistent in its political theory, and only engages in naked plays for its own control. Therefore, if Russia feels like fracking hurts them, they'll promote stories and politicians that oppose that. They do it for GMO too.
If you look at it this way, you can understand why Russia supported Jill Stein, Donald Trump, Exxon/Mobil, Hugo Chavez/Maduro, Assaaunge and opposed HRC, GMO produce, environmental cracking, etc. They've even been in a tacit 'cease fire' with ISIS.
Russia is the enemy of environmentalism, human rights, transparency and democracy. They are also the enemy of capitalism, the free market, and anti-corruption efforts. They do nothing to help their own people.
---
But before you get 'taken' by the Russian propaganda, understand this. Donald Trump is running the country. Podesta wasn't and isn't. Any abuse of power by DJT and his supporters is by definition much more relevant at this point. And dangerous.
If John Podesta engaged in bad behavior, go after him...AFTER you clean up the current problem, which is the Trump Administration. Podesta isn't able to impact US policy.
Tremendous job of tortured logic and twisted reasoning. Basically, your response is "its ok if my side does it".
Worse yet, at this point the question of why was she in the country in the first place (expired VISA, yet with access all over capital hill) is begining to gain traction. She actually appears to be quite anti-Trump in her views---and appears to have a number of connections to Democratic Party--so once again, another "gotcha" story thread had begun to boomerang again for the Democrats....sort of like how Comey is thinking twice about leaking further.
In the end---I think this is a big nothing burger and both parties, the press, and the public would be better off focusing on the real issues---economy, job growth, healthcare, and N Korea.
Exactly. If Russia pursuing its own interests coincides with yours, then its fine to collude with Russia. But if the other side does it, its bad, bad bad!!!!
