MW Conference makes changes for the MWDN and other Digital Media Content
Well July 1 has rolled around and in the new academic year, the MW has made several changes regarding the Digital Network and other Digital Media Content. (New redesigned website: http://www.themw.com/)
The new Chief Brand and Communications Officer Daryl Siebel has made some pretty significant changes.

1. The MW is now partnered with Sidearm Sports. Sidearm helps conferences and schools manage their website, live video streaming on the website, mobile apps, live stats and other stuff. More info about Sidearm via this link: http://www.sidearmsports.com/

2. Looks like the platform for the MWDN has moved from Livestream to YouTube. Here is the link to the MW You Tube channel.

(Also, since YouTube still provide viewer count, I can continue to keep track of viewer states for every sport shown on the MWDN)

Other upcoming changes.
From the relationship with Campus Insiders, the MW now carries that over to the new entity Stadium. All MW network programming will be on Stadium (even on Roku). In addition, being part of the new network will also provide new opportunities as the merger with Sinclair and Tribune stations will provide some OTA programming in the MW footprint.

After I read about the MWN on the new website, this gives some more info on the MWN and where it can be watch and also the success in viewership.

Excerpt on Stadium from website. Some exciting stuff for the MW.

"All Mountain West Network programming is also available on Stadium, a 24/7 live and on-demand sports network that delivers world-class content that you can access anytime, anywhere, with no cable subscription required. Campus Insiders, 120 Sports and Sinclair Broadcasting have combined forces to launch Stadium, the industry's only all-platform sports network complete with a live, daily national studio operation, an exclusive and unique collection of professional and collegiate rights, nearly 3,000 live games plus classic games and archives, and a broad array of post-game highlights, up-to-the-moment news, and original, long-form programming. Stadium is built for today's landscape and today's fans across every viable distribution platform, including (but not limited to):

* Owned and operated properties (WatchStadium.com and Stadium mobile apps)
* Over-the-top connected devices (such as Apple TV, Roku, Sling TV, Amazon Fire and XBox)
* a 24/7 over-the-air network accessible via digital antenna
* Syndication partners (such as Yahoo!, MSN and USA Today)
* curated video destinations (such as Buffalo Wild Wings and Verizon go90)

In addition, viewers can tune in to Stadium's new, original, full-programmed linear experience live on Twitter as the social media platform's first 24/7 streaming partner dedicated to sports. For more information, visit WatchStadium.com."

One thing that will be interesting with the move to YouTube is if the viewership will increase quite a bit since YouTube is more established and known.
Can't wait to track and glad with YouTube you can still see the number of views for an event.
