RE: They're laying the carpet under the pavilion!
I know they spent the money that was originally going towards branding on the coach's observation tower, but I hope they attempt additional fundraising for branding. With the structure so visible from the interstate, no one driving down I-65 should have to ask "hey, what's that?" We also need logos on the outdoor turf field that are visible to people on airplanes flying into/out of town.

I'm just happy the money is being spent wisely. UAB or a dragon head painted on the pavilion does nothing for us for real. Get the infrastructure in place, there is plenty of time to make it look good later.

No doubt, but it's something I think we should be targeting rather than not doing it.

I agree! We have by far the coolest looking mascot in the state. We should be marketing the heck out of it!

Suppose the webcam won't last too much longer. Won't be much left to watch happen and they certainly won't want anyone watching once they start practicing on it.

Maybe they could reposition the camera towards the old football building as they tear it down and build the grass field...

I hope they put a plaque on there dedicated to the legend of Mike Jones.

So, I take it that the hashmarks, numbers and Blaze are in-lays of white or other colored turf?
