Which ACC Basketball Teams Are Taking International Trips This Summer?
Duke men's basketball will be playing the Dominican Republican national team in the Dominican Republic in August. Are any other ACC men's programs taking international trips this summer? I'll bet the Duke games will be televised. I hope that if other schools have overseas games this summer that they're televised too.

No other ACC team is taking an international trip this summer? Usually, there are two or three each summer. Teams can take an international trip once every four years.

Duke will be playing the full Dominican national team which is preparing for a major FIBA tournament that begins in late August. Should be a stern test for a young Duke team.

Maryland will represent US Women's Basketball team and Purdue will represent US Men's Basketball Team in 2017 Summer Universiade this August. As usual, B1G controls NCAA and gets all good stuff. Don't know why UNC did not fight for it.

Louisville did a pre-season trip two years ago, so we have two more years before we can do a trip again. It was beneficial for us, as we were bringing in two done-and-ones (Trey Lewis and Damian Lee), to gel with the rest of the team. It definitely allowed the team to get off to a good start, and a good season, that we had to throw away by self imposing a post season ban, in a year where we would have had a 2 or 3 seed in the big dance.

Those pre-season trips are invaluable for team development.
