That's good for the G5. That means less last second flips to P5 schools because a spot opened up.

There will be last second early flips. What this will do is move the main signing day to "early" signing day and relegate February to the straglers. There is an advantage to knowing where, for sure, you will be attending school far sooner in advance than February.

That's exactly what will happen. The G5 won't have a big signing class for the early period. I think it helps to fill up the P5 classes quicker so we don't waisted time on guys waiting for that big offer.
