A special thanks to you and Ken for proving my point. Per Ken, Porter started because Roback was suspended. Good leaders, (especially QBs!) don't get suspended and apparently, both Bell and Porter suck, yet they both beat out the petulant Roback. Hey, I'm hoping he's grown up this season and has better focus, but we have to see it! I'm sure Reggie Bell is the Vince Young of Ferris State, he must surely be dominating that level. Roback has a ton of arm talent, no one would say otherwise...but so did Jeff George and Jay Cutler. Just saying.

I also just looked at Toledo's schedule, and what you said about them being 2-2, and with us paying them the following week, just could be the pivotall game in determining how each team does the rest of the season.

Dear Bob,
Eastern lost to Toledo 35-20 last year. The game wasn't really decided until the fourth quarter, and yes, Toledo played better, but it wasn't a romp. I would say we gave them a good game.
As far as Toledo being the class of the league, where are all the MAC Championships in the last ten years or so?
