This is the only explanation I can think of that really makes sense. There are G5s in small towns with not-so-big stadium capacity that also get better home and home opponents than us.

Of course there's Navy and Army, but they are US service academies so you can't compare them to just any typical G5 school.

Are we the only non-service academy G5 that's a full option team?

I agree that you have to take into context they're trying to get rivals and regional games. The NMSU is probably their biggest game, in regards to fan excitement, and that's yearly. So in my mind it doesn't look great to others but I suspect they are happy with it. Unlike the masses at GS.

You guys ***** and moan to get and keep the triple option, ***** when you get it because others "won't play" you because of it.

Either grow up and accept reality of that offenses have changed since 1975, or accept you will have limited OOC options (pun not intended) because you want and demand a specific type of team. You can't, and won't, have it both ways.

Or, just keep whining and have it continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have done this for a long time well back into the I-AA days. I think most of our triple-option-loving fan base would, too.

The issue is that our fans want to blame our AD when the evidence is fairly strong the offense that's limits who wants to play us, but it precedes him.


Up until the Florida game in 2013 we were the best I-AA program without a win over a I-A/FBS team by a huge margin, mostly because we can only get the big boys of the FBS to play us.
