RE: CB McGrath
He is going to have to have some experienced coaches on the bench with him. I don't think he can afford to fill a spot with Stillman White or even Blizzard. Also, we don't pay much to assistants. My bet is he goes after a few current assistants on lower level teams who pay less than we do. Or, maybe he can land an older coach just looking to help for the smaller salary without the rigor or pressure of being a head coach.

Don't forget that Blizzard's father was a high school basketball coach also. He's got tons of experience with a lot of different coaches over the years and I'd assume he has learned from each one. Stillman White I agree with. We can agree needs experience somewhere else.

I agree, Stilman wouldn't be on the bench, but he could be a video coordinator or something like that.

Looking back two years, we had four freshmen coming in. Gundy was a 3 star and Matthews was a 2 star. Bryce and Cacock were not rated. Guess how that worked out. Keatts saw something in C.J. and Devonte other coaches missed. That's what we need also with McGrath. And just maybe he was instrumental in the players UNC recruited.

Hard to believe Bryce wasn't rated. In his first exhibition game as a freshman he stood out to me. So smooth and could shoot. North Meck always has talent and plays in a great conference. Guys that do what he did there are serious prospects generally. He's likely going to finish his career as no worse than the third best player in program history, and may wind up being the best of all. He can flat out play. Devonte is another story. His evolution has been phenomenal. No 6-7 guy should own the glass the way he does. If he develops a decent 12 - 15 foot jumper and learns to put it on the floor and create a shot (and stays out of foul trouble!), holy moley.

What did Gundy do to get the boot?

I love Bryce. I agree with 83 regarding his potential. I'm not sure who I would have as our top 2 right now. I assume Rowson and Blizzard.

If Bryce remains here for his final two years - I would expect his jersey could very well be hanging in Trask.

I believe both Cacok's and Bryce's will hang. I just watched that video of McGrath tonight from his senior day speech. Damn!

RE: CB McGrath
Blizzard and Rowsom would be the top 2 IMO. You could make a case for Denny Fields, but as a transfer, he was only here 2 years, and not a full year as a junior as I recall. The guy could shoot the lights out. I'm sure he has the highest career PPG in school history, certainly in our D1 history. Decent rebounder.

RE: CB McGrath
Actually Fields played a little less than 2 years. He didn't become eligible until the 2nd semester of his junior year. Still a great Seahawk.

With the new coach, will we still be an "Adidas" school? Or will he switch us to Nike?
