Hoops if you are only worried about the "two", maybe you should start following tennis.

Why is everyone so literal all the time now?

Everyone needs to relax and stop going after each other. It's entirely possible to "worry" about the whole team and be concerned with success even if you only mention one or two significant players.

It's also acceptable to have opinions. Let's allow people to express those opinions and concerns properly please, without infighting. We have plenty of in state and in conference rivals to get snappy with if you need.
I am literal because hoops said he is only concerned with the "big two". How much more do you need CG? We don't need to be politically correct here do we?

You might be literal, but you need to practice reading comprehension. Hoops didn't say that he was only concerned about the big 2. But he is right that they should be our biggest concern. They would be the hardest holes to fill, especially Cacock.

Exactly. Thank you.

And no. There's no need for anyone to be PC here Surfs.

Very much being literal, obviously you can't play with two players. But losing either
of those two would hurt the most, and i really don't see how that could be debated.

Have we offered any new recruits? I hope we can finish adding staff while we are in a dead period. Maybe Blizzard will be contacted for a role.

I haven't heard anything about potential recruits, Alex Riley just reported that Valpo assistant Jackie Manuel is C.B. McGrath's second hire per sources.

The only concern to me is if you look at his coaching, he has shifted a ton, to what appears to be lateral moves. Other than that looks like a solid hire. ( See guys, a UNC guy that i don't mind. Told y'all it was possible )

Legit observation re: Jackie, but I don't think they're lateral moves. UNCG<Valpo<UNCW...also, which "chair" he's claiming at each position might matter, may have discovered he preferred North Carolina to the midwest, etc.

Yeah, i agree it's tough to say without knowing the seats. Still a concern though. UNCG, Valpo, UNCW are all similar jobs depending on the seat. Regardless, I'd rather have a young hungry. Let's get to recruiting!!

RE: CB McGrath
I'd imagine Esleeck is the top assistant given his previous role at Mercer, with Manuel occupying the next chair.

It's not JUST that he's young and hungry. He has experience at the mid major level coaching as well as experience winning big. That's a big draw for recruiting, and hopefully coaching. I really like the staff McGrath is assembling so far.

I do too. Losing the recruits is a little disappointing, and losing guys off of our current roster would be really disappointing, I'm not overly concerned about the direction of the program. The transition may not be as smooth and we may not compete for a title for a year or two, but I think we'll be back. Return our "big 2" and I think we're still going to compete.

i feel like there is enough on the roster to compete top 5 provided everyone returns, the spots that will be filled could move us up/down. IMO.
