Baseball and men's hoops international trip just received my financial support.

I want to thank the Ribe's for bringing this issue to our attention so that an attempt could be made to correct the situation.

I look forward to hearing the financial numbers in support of the trip.

I hope that, when the final totals are in, I will be reminded of the quote attributed to Admiral Yamamoto:

"I fear all the AD has done is to awaken a sleeping giant and filled him/her with a terrible resolve".

A quick analysis of 11:30 AM giving on OTOD. 3547 total givers. Athletics are #1 in total donors, #2 in New Donors and #3 in most improved.

Most donors are from VA. They total 1951 vs. 1596 for the field.

NY has passed PA for the second highest number of donors.
NC is coming on strong and has made it to 4th place passing MD and DC. NJ hangs on at #7 and GA at #8. MA has climbed over FL into 9th place. So there's the top 10. NM and MT have yet to break the ice, but 49 of 51 political states/DC are on the board.

I'm in for the trip.

They should go to the Balkans (former Yugoslavia) -- not expensive, and lots of very tall potential recruits. (Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia all among the top 10 countries in terms of height of population.)

My mom just became one of those new donors. She just gave to the summer trip. Way to go, Mom!

Athletics continues to be #1 in Total Donors and #2 in New Donors and has moved to #1 in Most Improved.
If this holds, should make a statement to the new AD and her bosses.

The Gamechanger Challenge was a contest during the basketball season; those who participated committed to contribute $10 for every game in which the team made (I think) 72% of its free throws.

There was no separate line for this; I was told to contribute to MBB and put Gamechanger Challenge in the comments field.

Halfway there...

And Athletics continues to crush it in the incentive categories:

#2 in new donors...Anybody know folks who haven't given to athletics in the past?

... btw, took awhile to find the summer school. Searching for "Men's Basketball Summer" didn't get it done... gave up and went to google, and the search results brought up a thread on this board from last year with the full name of the fund.

just looked it up, last year (2016) there were 10,358 donors and 6,078 donors in 2015.
