Interesting, given the core AAC was basically created because the old Big East had too many non-football schools. I know many ODU fans want to move to the AAC too.

Looks like a good move on both sides, for AAC and Wichita State.

Almost full circle now. After spending years and ample dollars trying to move away and one-up each other, looks very much like the Missouri Valley line-up from the 60s.

I don't see any impact on the CAA.

AAC would be a huge step up for ODU.

I doubt very much if the Sun Belt would look very kindly on ODU playing basketball in the American.

They're in C-USA, and they want to move everything to the AAC. The AAC probably wants football and basketball members to avoid the Big East problem.

Sure, but it's possible the SunBelt would be upset, too. Let's not pretend we know how the SunBelt would feel about the potential move of a CUSA program.

This might actually help the CAA. The MVC is one of the top mid majors, generally neck and neck with the CAA (We were 11th in RPI this year, they wre 12th). This might help the conference move ahead of the MVC, cementing the CAA as one of the top mid majors.

From a non-football school perspective, it's pretty cool to see a fellow non-football school break in to an FBS conference like that. Sets an interesting precedent.

Gonzaga should definitely be taking note. PAC-12 could be a possibility for them some day.

Yeah...Gonzaga is effectively a basketball program that attached itself to a University of Phoenix-like school.

I have seen some really outlandish stuff on here, but Gonzaga to the Pac-12 may be the headliner.
