I noticed on the YOGWF that Charlie Dunn is in a tizzy over Tulane's graduation rates being lower than he expected, compared to some not-so-well respected other schools. The truth is comparing grad rates or gpa's with those schools is meaningless. It would be like Jesuit (where it is common to have several graduates get perfect scores on their college borads exam,) and Fortier (where the valadictorian can't pass the exit exam.) We should not let ourselves get caught up in that farce. I believe that if the NCAA demanded that only schools with 100% graduation rates eligible for post-season play, the LSU's of the world would begin graduating 100% of their athletes.

You are so right. If the NCAA did somting like that, schools like Oklahoma, LSU, and texas would have to start printing their athlete's diplomas on toilet papaer bnecause that would be all they would be good for. :john:
