New scoreboards coming for App State Football & Basketball! KBS board is the largest display in G5 Football and will include new ribbon boards. Board for the Holmes Center is NBA style and one of three like it installed at a college venue. Doug Gillin gettin it done!

Yeah but we just got a new manual scoreboard. So it's probably a little too close to call on who has the better equipment.

After nearly 20 years, our "new" basketball arena will finally be finished.

The only flaw I see is the scoreboard in the pic has App winning.

It looks a lot like Duke's scoreboard, I wonder which will be bigger.

Not a huge fan of it either but it goes was designed to go with the FOC and not stand alone. I would imagine if we ever feel the need to join the my scoreboard is bigger than yours ***** measuring contest it would go in the west end of the stadium.

Also does Daktronics have any competition or are they just printing money?

No offense taken. It was a poor choice. It's "pretty" to go along with the building (which is shaped like an eagle btw), but it has limited our capability for advertising on the display.

Not only that, but it has limited your capability to show the game/replays at a decent aspect ratio without sacrificing size and visibility.

It does look good...until you have to turn it on and actually use it as a video board.

I've never been a fan of our oval video board. I wonder if some big-nuts donor's wife came up with the idea or something, it is just stupid.

I like our oval scoreboard. We could replace it and put a bigger square one up but we would have to reinforce the frame on the FOC.
