Apps fall to #4 USC 8-4 after knotting the score at 3-3. All four runs game via the long ball. Our starters have done well so far but our pen is thin.

It was 5-4 in the 7th before we gave up a few. We tried a few guys in the bullpen who aren't usually our top arms to call on. Solid showing overall considering where we were last year.

Charleston must have used all the best arms last weekend. They pitched 4 or 5 guys tonight and not 1 of them threw any pitch over 86 mph. Just what we needed to jump start our offense.

It was a good win and we pitched some guys none of us had ever heard of late or I think the score wouldn't have even been that close.
