Delaware (away)
This is a huge game for both teams. Delaware is awful on the road (despite their win over the weekend at JMU). The blue chickens have really given teams a fit at the Bob. This is a game we should win, but with the way Delaware has played at home, I am very nervous in thinking this will be a victory.

Both teams need this victory to avoid being the last place team. Right now, our dragons trail UD by a game and HU/JMU by 2. We are done with HU and still have a home game against JMU, so our chances are very limited at avoiding last place without this victory. Delaware still has a home game against W&M and two road games against Elon and CofC. I don't see them winning any of those 3 so this would be the last realistic game UD could find a victory. A victory against us would just about mean we are locked in as the last seed as we would have to make up 2 games with 3 to go. So with that said, a rivalry game with seeding on the line, I dont think either teams' fans would want it any other way.

DU- 78
UD- 75

Im glad we have this started early.

Is anyone interested in a meetup before the game? If so, let me know and I will pick a spot.

Also my score prediction:

DU - 100
UD - 0

I'm right with dan10 on this one. A cautious, nervous, close win prediction. Chickens have been decent at home, DU has yet to win on the CAA road. But Drexel just feels like the better team.

Drexel- 82
Delaware- 80

Just realized that the Chicken are coming off 2 straight wins. Obviously, the inched ahead of us in the standings, but I missed that they went 2-0 last weekend. No way does that team win 3 straight. No way.

I just turned on the game. Why is Lee wearing #30?

If the ESPN box is to be believed, Moran started in place of Lee (who is the leading score at half with 10).

Tough loss for sure, but not completely unexpected. Unfortunately that means we are now locked into the Friday game, the first team to be officially playing Friday. Being 2 games back of anyone with 3 games left, I really do not see how we do not end up the last seed. However the way we have been starting to play should be encouraging heading into Charleston. I still think if we draw Delaware or JMU we can win on Friday night.

Agreed. I'm still sure we can win a Friday game. Need to get Kari back. Can't believe how many heart breaking losses we've seen. We're close, if we can solve that final minute.

Some of the circumstances last night were just strange. Do we know why Kurk didn't start? How about the #30 jersey that he was wearing, did he have a blood stain in warm ups and had to use the old Moran generic jersey? Is Kari expected back on Saturday? Finally, how the heck did Kurk not realize how much time was left at the end of that game?

Well, if last night's starting lineup seemed weird, wait until senior night... that would seem to be: Elgin Ford, John Moran, Sammy, Rodney Williams and Mo Bah.

Watching the replay of the Daly's shot, it looked like Stretch had him guarded well, and he just mistimed his leap or put his hands down for just a split second. He shouldn't have been able to let him make that shot.

We were down two of our top players on the road, so I guess the result was expected, even against Delaware.

According to this site, Iceman is a ? for Saturday.

I agree. I watched that last shot, and even Ingelsby said so, but it was a bad shot that just happened to go in. Kid will be a pain in everyone's ass for the next 3 years after this one. Still a tough loss. Very typical DU/UD game though.
