Coastal brings back some good pitching so should be a strength. We are fortunate that Beckwith didn't get drafted and Cunningham couldn't finalize a deal with the Tigers so even though he already graduated he came back to Coastal for his final year of eligibility.

We lose some bats but I think we've done a good job filling those holes.

The biggest unknown is how the guys will handle everyone targeting the reigning champs.

You've earned the preseason SBC East #1 pick (and would be my overall #1). Just be advised that the Belt isn't the Big South. At the very least GS, the Cajuns, and South are all better than any of the remaining Big South teams.

Fun fact we have a losing record to Troy and GA Southern also(all three by 1 game). I'd still take the NC

Ha! In 2014 we won our series against UL, a team that went to a super-regional. We've gone 2-4 against USA since joining the SBC, but beat them in the conference tournament last year and they went to the NCAA tourny. Because baseball.

Having Coastal in the conference makes us all better by default (and RPI). As a college baseball fan, I'm so excited for this season because a top 4 or 5 team in this league is pretty damn good! I'm hopeful and optimistic that this GS team can be very competitive and at least nip at the heels of the top of the conference. That and we just spit shined JI Clements for everyone to enjoy the conference tournament!

Ah, that's a bummer, but thanks for letting me know! I get a ton of info from our media guide as well.

If anyone knows of a winsipedia or stassen-type resource for college baseball, please let me know.

Got a chance to see J. I. Clements Stadium last week. The spit shining looks pretty doggone good.

All turf in foul territory. New Outfield fence pushed back a bit. 24' blue monster down the right field line. New video board in LC Field and a manual scoreboard in the monster.

Ii'll be a good place for the tournament.
