AState went insanely hot from the field and ran the Cajuns over with a truck. 55 points scored in last 12 minutes.

Final 88-69

I'd say in any conference since the 90s

Started 8-3 in the SLC in 2010-2011 season, so best start to conference play in 6 years.

At one point AState made 13 consecutive shots and five were from the three point line.

I said this right after the hire, UALR should've hired from the outside. It was lazy to just promote an assistant.

Great ending (sort of...depends on what you look for in the end of a basketball game) to GSU/USA. Panthers pull it out 83-80. The Jags' Ken Williams was amazing down the stretch. Tied the game at 73 with 1:11 to go, then scored 7 points in the last 17 seconds to force GSU to keep hitting their foul shots.

Where are the bobcat fan Kaspar doubters?

I think our fan base underestimated the dumpster fire that davalos left behind. Of course I mean the severity of said dumpster fire.

Nice to finally have a sports team progressing upwards. Can't wait to see what he can do with another year or two.

App is still terrible, and everything is on fire as two freshman we depend on were suspended indefinitely for the good ole "violation of team rules" prior to the game.

This is the first time since February 5th 1998 that an Arkansas State Men's Basketball team was 10 games over .500.

We got slapped around for the last 15 minutes or so. Good win.

It's great that in a year when none of us seem to be thinking, "Man, our team is SPECIAL this year," the Belt still sits at 13th in RPI and around that spot in most ranking systems I've seen. Seems like progress...

It's also a weird scheduling year, Until this point, the top 5 teams in the league have barely played each other. (Texas State beat UTA and GS beat GSU) It's going to pick up quick though: AState heads to Texas in 2 weeks, The Texas Schools head to Georgia the following week, and the Georgia Schools head to AState the week after.

Conference will be decided in that set of games.

Maybe we'll actually be motivated when that time rolls around.

Ah, fair enough...maybe that will be the case! Another fun March for the Belt, maybe...?

To be fair to us, our basketball program hasn't won 20 games since Bill Clinton was President, (We get to 20 wins by simply going 4-5 down the stretch) so it's certainly a special year for us.

It is fun to still be in the running for conference this late in the year. I can't think of how many times I was just hoping to finish 8th.
