Cajuns seem a little upset about what happened to them in Arlington on Monday. They are quickly up 14-3 on Little Rock

Georgia Southern and South Alabama are 8-8 early

We've split every single Saturday/Monday set this year. Hopefully we can buck that trend Monday night. I'm expecting a battle.

Georgia Southern is gonna be nasty for the next couple years with Brown and Hughes only sophomores. And Smith coming back next year.

Cajuns are absolutely blowing the doors off Little Rock. Up by 17 late in the first half.

Halftime scores of late games:
UL 45
Little Rock 35

Georgia Southern 40
USA 36

Just about everyone pulling for the jags probably.

For the record, its 45-25 in Lafayette not 45-35.

Tookie Brown and Ike Smith are the sophomores, Hughes is a junior.

Holder and Bullock are the only two seniors on the team, and they play virtually no minutes.

No good reason two of our best shooters have sat on the bench for the last several minutes ...

Don't know why we have such a big problem with South.

Yeah we just seem to struggle against them for some reason.

Ken Williams threw it off the glass to set up a jam for some guy I've never heard of in the final minute for the cherry on top.

Georgia Southern finally loses. Still alone in first but have 3 teams just a game behind them now.

Defense. That's reallly all we're good at. You guys shoot a bunch of threes and we are very good at defending them. Same reason we beat Troy.

Yep. South is very vulnerable inside, but they can really slow down your 3 point shooting game. They did the same to us on Monday early in the 2nd half until we adjusted and started driving to the basket every trip.

Little Rock made a late run to make the game with the Cajuns semi interesting, but ultimately the Cajuns won 88-82

We plenty of breathing room to shoot threes for most of the game and shot like crap. But we had a horrendous turnover differential, though.

Not really. Our Athletic Department doesn't do straight doubleheaders anyway. It's hurt both our Men's and Women's attendance trying to put them together. No one is willing to go to a 5pm Women's game, and fewer are willing to go to a weekday Men's game that might not start till 8pm. We were one of the primary backers behind moving away from the DH's.

I forgot our Women's team played because 1, it was a road game, and 2 they are really bad.

Doubleheaders will be back sooner rather than later

We've got this system for at least 2 years and then the AD's will get back together again. Doubleheaders help schools like Monroe, but they hurt some of the larger programs who have enough of a fan base that they can draw for Women's basketball.

Weeknight doubleheaders are a mess to staff, and terrible for fans.

Not necessarily ... it can change for next year.
