What do you folks think the odds will be for the Charleston game?

I'd say we would be a 4 point favorite

Depends on whether you are going by computer or Vegas odds. Have not seen any Vegas odds yet but Warren Nolans computer has CofC winning 69-68. He also predicts you will end up with 3 conference losses and us with 5.

Vegas bettors will see UNCW as a favorite. I agree they will need to give 4 pts. to Charleston to get bets.

This game will NOT be on Comcast Mid Atlantic or MASN for our VA/MD/DC supporters

MASN has a Liberty game, CSN MA has a Capitals game and the Plus feed has a ACC women's game

I should have updated local affiliates in a couple of days but you guys with satellite will need the sports pack for this game

If you have cable or antenna one of your local channels may pick it up on their digital subchannels if they have the ASN affiliation. Cox Cable subs in VA will also have easy access to it on Cox Sports TV

I like our chances to win this one. Yes, Charleston plays awesome halfcourt defense, but we play great fullcourt D, and the Cougars have had troubles with our press in the past.

I just don't think they have enough offense to beat us. If the game is low scoring it will be close, and I like our ability to put the ball in the hoop at the end of games better than they can. If the game gets into the 70's+, I just don't think they have the offensive weapons to keep up, and we win by 10+. I also agree that our press is going to throw them off completely.

Either way, I think UNCW gets the win and a top 25 AP ranking.

I see this game as low scoring and very close-it could go either way. C of C has a great team and cool fans/students. I'm glad that they're part of our conference.

Most of our real basketball fans love being in a better conference. Some of your fans and ours call this a new rivalry. I call it the resumption of an old rivalry that should have never been stopped. We had some great games against each other a few years back and packed houses both venues

There are about 1K tickets left today. Most are in the upper level. Until this week, CofC has gotten comparatively little publicity in our area because everyone has been focused on Clemson football. Almost all the local sports media were in Tampa. This week is the first week that there is a focus on basketball.

Don't be dissuaded by the "upper level" description. Every seat in CofC's arena is a good seat. It is a 5200 seat arena with the amenities of a 10,000 seat arena. Kudos to the architect's of that arena.

That sounds about right for the line. That would mean they think you are about a 7 point favorite at a neutral place and 10 point favorite at home. For the top 2 teams in a conference that is actually still a large spread, but I think it is accurate.

Thanks to some interesting scheduling, UNCW gets this one on the road in Charleston and then doesn't have the return trip at Trask or either of the games with NU for awhile. So, we might see the top 3 further separate themselves before some late Feb showdowns. The Tribe having played all 3 on the road, I would rank them UNCW, NU and then Charleston. We had a decent chance to beat Charleston Saturday even without our best player. Credit to Charleston for getting the job done, but we were never even in the other two games in the second half(each with Dixon).
