Looks as if they are closing in the FOB. I see walls (no longer can see through the building) on the other side. Amazing to watch the day to day progress. I wonder if a time bonus (probably not the legal term) was put into the contract?

Ingram said the facility will be open by June...

I still think the camera can be adjusted to widen the view without having the new turf field and Spring practice in the view.

There's no bonus in the contract but the sooner the contractor is done he can get his forces off the project and not paying job overhead. For every week he is complete under his contract duration he saving x amount on of dollars per week that will be considered profit. Add that with the profit he expects to make overall on the project I'm sure he's doing well

What are the 3 different fields made of? I know of the one already down but what about the other 2? Grass & turf?

I think the one under the pavilion will be turf and the one next to the newly-completed exposed turf field (location of current FB building) will be grass...

Will the pavilion field be made of the same turf or of an alternate turf product?

Bump.

Getting hard to discern just what's going on at the moment. It looks like they're starting to put in some aspect of the roof.

This looks great driving down the interstate. Can't wait for it to be completed. An on campus stadium will look good next to it. Thinking of ASU's stadium in Montgomery off the interstate.

Western, that helmet is FN sweet. Would go good with all gold unis.

No more piles of heavy steel beams. It looks like they're on to the next phase.

Topping out party! Great exposure for the workers. Maybe we pick up a few fans.

Well, that explains why I saw the Pres parked down near Bartow this afternoon when I bought my Spring Game ducats. Wish I had known about the ceremony.

RE: live video feed from football ops?
Since its a working construction site the general public is never invited for safety reasons. I am assuming this was the case here and I have never seen public at a topping out unless you were an invited guest. A lot of liability. If you know someone you can usually get in and borrow a hard hat.

Having to deal with OSHA and the fines you could possibly incur is a big deal. Not to mention God forbid getting someone injured. It's usually a bustling working site up until the time you eat. usually lasts an hour, there are a few door prizes for the workers and it's back to work.

I always used t get Full Moon to cater mine in Birmingham.

Did they hoist up a tree to celebrate topping out? How about pictures?

It's going down... Dirt that is. Look as if they are making preparations for the turf for the pavilion.

No doubt. I'm so glad they are this far along. There will be a lot of dirt & gravel hauled in over the next few days!

Dirt has been flattened out and they're now putting down the black/gray gravel material (?).

Its Saturday, 4:33 pm and a road grader is spreading, smoothing the base for the pavilion practice surface. Great to see the work going and going like that battery bunny!
