Who covers your team the best?
Trying to put together a complete list of Sun Belt media to stay better up to speed on everything that's going on in the conference and I was curious who you think does the best job of covering your team?
Is it a beat writer or a play-by-play broadcaster? Superfan or radio host? Is there a fan or two of your team that are must-follows on twitter? Are they on twitter or do they have a Facebook fan page? Any suggestions would be welcome, especially from Coastal Carolina & UT-Arlington fans- I'm not sure who covers those teams.
In the meantime, I've started putting together a twitter list here of media, team accounts, and Sun Belt staff, but would love to add more to it: https://twitter.com/Kara_Richey/lists/around-the-belt

Thanks!

Bret Strelow of the Winston-Salem Journal is the only consistent reporter from a major paper that covers App that I'm aware of, but could be others.

Where we lack in "professional" reporting, we more than make up with the likes of Big C, Tdog aka Jeremiah, and the countless others that always seem to know what's coming next.

For the Cajuns;

Radio is covered by ESPN1420.com for all of the sports. They cover all of the games for football, men's basketball, baseball, and softball, and about half of the women's basketball games. When all the games were double headers, they covered all of the women's conference games.

Print coverage is primarily The Daily Advertiser (http://www.theadvertiser.com/sports/) with occasional articles in the Advocate (http://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana/) and even less occasional articles in The Times Picayune (http://neworleanstimespicayune.la.newsmemory.com/).

For TXST I'd add Brant Freeman and Bill Culhane, our main two radio broadcasters:

Isn't the Bird of Paradise poster on here the same guy that does your radio coverage?

Yep, Jay Walker is the primary broadcaster for all sports on the Ragin Cajun sports network throught ESPN1420. The station is owned by TownSquare Media in Lafayette which has a group of six stations mixed across AM and FM. When you have conflicts in schedules, there are a couple of other ESPN1420 personalities who host local sports talk shows that handle conflicts. We've had as many as four games in different locations with different hosts on different stations being broadcast on the same day. When they started broadcasting every Cajun softball game live a few years ago they were the first commercial station in the country to do so (while there were some university owned stations I think). All of the stations stream over the internet so all games are global as well.

The only beef locally is some games and sports are only on the AM affiliate which is low power with local area coverage. We keep hoping they move the primary station to one of their FM stations instead, although for football and men's basketball they typically simulcast on both AM and FM stations.

AJC when something is wrong or is negative. Nathan Deen is a little annoying, comes with his young age probably and being a SEC guy.
