dayummm. RIP Officer Espericueta. That's tragic. What's also tragic, though not nearly to the same extent, is that a google search of his names reveals only two MSM sources carried the story, MSNBC reprinted a CNN story that doesn't appear in the search and YahooNews, although calling that one an MSM is a stretch since cb is the only one who uses them these days.

Nope! He choked to death on a cat about 10 years ago.

The actor/circus performer(little person) who walked around in the Alf costume, died a few years ago, but the puppeteer who controls Alf's movements behind the couch or sitting is still alive.

I guess the best you can say was that he "microsofted" cars back in the 80's. Some truly awful cars were produced by Chrysler. I wonder about not allowing the market to decide who survives based upon consumer and market preferences and choice, not union imperatives and union boss backroom arm-twistings.

In terms of a public flop, yes. In terms of a serviceable vehicle, no. The Edsel was full of innovation, but innovations the public didn't think they needed, or failed to understand, but the car was serviceable. There were so many recalls on K cars that they should have named them the Pavlov, because every time the recall bell rang, they returned to their dealerships.

The K car is what turned me into a longtime loyal Nissan customer.

My mom had an 83 Reliant and we couldn't kill it. I only drove it for a little while because I wanted a truck but my brother drove it after me all through high school and two years in college. My mom kept it as a spare vehicle and everybody from cousins to neighbors drove it at some point. She ended up giving it to a single mom cleaning lady where she worked who's car broke down in the mid 00's. Last time I asked about it the damn thing was still kicking around. Had to have close to 400k on it now, it had almost 300k on it a few years before she gave it away when I changed the oil.

We left a K Car at the infield of an Indy 500. A few of us bought it for next to nothing, had a dealer broker friend. We took everything out of the trunk, and where the spare tire was supposed to be....we put in a large keg of beer and filled the trunk with ice.
We made some $$$ selling cold draft beers. The infield was a total zoo of humans back in the day.
