RE: Merry Christmas!
Very nice. The most expensive sports magazine, with a W&M themed cover, in history.
(To be honest, there is not a LOT of competition. 03-wink ) Used to sell regularly for over $50. Still will bring $40 in nice condition.

Merry Christmas to the Tribe Talk family.

RE: Merry Christmas!
If anyone is interested, a "fair to good" copy is available on eBay for $10, "good" condition for $20, and "very good to excellent" condition for $40.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger for $40.

One Tribe. One Family.

RE: Merry Christmas!
Hey, Tribe faithful. I hope everyone has a great last day of 2016 while watching the Tribe take down Northeastern today. I thought this thread might be the place to plug my new Tribe A Day Calendar 2017, just launched on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/tribeaday/. I have so much Tribe related stuff lying around the house that I thought I'd figure out if there are 365 different things to post. Since I'm pretty sure I'll dry up somewhere in the low 100's, I'm taking submissions of any images of cool Tribe apparel, artwork, housewares, etc. Feel free to send me anything you have to cbhailey.wm@gmail.com.

Ran across a great article about Jack Cloud & Buddy Lex, written in 2010 by David Teel of the Daily Press ...

RE: Merry Christmas!
Buddy Lex was honored at a Tribe home game this fall. He was quoted as saying in a Tribe football program featuring the '48 team that, after being asked about Coach Rube McCray's tough practices, "as in eighteen year old fighting in the worst of the Battle of the Bulge it wasn't very hard playing
football."

Wow ... Fighting at the Battle of the Bulge at age 18 sort of puts things in perspective. BTW, Buddy Lex gave the commencement address at Peninsula Catholic HS this past June. Heard it was a great speech and at age 90, he seemed to be doing quite well.
