Linehan really played up to what I'd been waiting to see from him last night. He was always teetering on being an exceptional QB and I feel like he took that step last night. Kudos to him and kudos to Idaho for grabbing the attention of the G5 world.

It's not a matter of belonging in FBS but where are you going to play. Sunbelt membership is simply not sustainable. If Idaho could work out a deal with the Mtn West it would make some sense.

The only thing that would work for Idaho at this point is a re-creation of the WAC. They should have decided to stay independent for a set number of years and campaigned with some of the Big Sky schools to reinvigorate interest in the WAC. When the inevitable split of divisions occurs, those schools would be wise to be in the division that is now known as the G5 as I imagine a playoff system will be instituted at this level as well.
