Just read the link - prior to this post, I had never heard of Pinball Clemons. It seems that ever since Reveley took over (or maybe just in the last year or so), there has been more of a focus putting the spotlight on alumni with amazing stories that may not be so well known by the younger/broader W&M community. It's always great to hear about Comey/Gates/Tomlin/Stewart/Plumeri/Oswalt, but for every one of these superstar alums (note, my list is non-exhaustive), there seems to be a host of other alums that have amazing stories that I've never heard about. One of the recent alumni magazines did a cool story about several interesting alums in NYC. Love reading and hearing about some of the great accomplishments and successes our alums have had - I hope this trend continues. I look forward to seeing Pinball's speech!

Wow, I had no idea he was an W&M grad.

Used to do a lot of business in Toronto, where he is beloved!

Story says Clemons an '89 grad, but I'm not sure that's correct. His last season at W&M was fall 1986, and he was drafted in 1987 by the Chiefs. Maybe he didn't have his degree when he left school? I don't recall.

I also don't recall the Pinball nickname. That was something I think he picked up in Toronto.

Clemons got the nickname when playing for Toronto in the CFL.

His last season playing at W&M I think was 1986. The Tribe went 9-2 and he was the running game behind Lambiotte. He had a great game at UVA that year, a 41-31 win.

I thought he spent some time on our coaching staff after graduation?

He also played soccer at W&M.
