How ridiculous! I didn't know until tonight while watching the Memphis game that those bush league schools put a "P6" sticker on their helmets. Talk about wannabes. I guess Memphis can remove their fancy stickers just like Houston and UCF.

I was curious about their big wins over P5 schools this year. Turns out the only victories on the road came against Syracuse and Purdue. The only victories over teams with winning records were by Houston at home.

All the G5 conferences will get more P5 wins if and win they get more home games.

You know that girl in high school who is on the JV cheerleader team and wears her cheerleader t-shirt 2 or 3 times a week and on other days copycats what the other popular girls wear? That's the AAC.

1-7 and counting against the "G4" in bowl games the last two seasons.

I think the AAC should fall in line with most of our P6 brethren and only play G4 schools at home. We obviously need them on our OOC schedule, but only at our home stadiums. We should only offer them 1 and nones or 2 and nones. We could throw them a basketball game at their house to sweeten the deal a little if we have to but that should be about it.


If there is is going to be an exception to this, I think it needs cleared through the AAC office and Mike Aresco, who would have final power to grant a 1 and 1 etc.

At least ECU has the requisite following of a P5 team. The rest of the AAC are more in line with G5 than P5, though I think these divisions are really only between the top three teams in each P5 conference and the rest of the FBS.

The mantra of the P6...

It reminds me of the "Proud parent of a terrific kid" bumper stickers. It's on a sticker it must be true!

You know I like the AAC attitude so in that mindset I am declaring myself king. You may all call me King James. I will let you know where to send the 25% tax after the first of the year. All Sun belt will now be known as Arkansas State with your city name added(example..Arkansas State-Boone). Defy me at your own risk. See it's easy!

So using this method Georgia Southern would now be AS-S. I could see that. I kid. I kid.

I didn't realize that about the helmet stickers. In one sense, I appreciate the confidence. Like they say, you dress for the job you want, not the one you have.

The problem is, those that have the Power 5 "job" aren't putting stickers on their helmets proclaiming it. They don't have to.

I won't deny that the American still looks to be the best G5 conference, even with their bowl performances, but it's hard to spin those stickers as a good thing.
