I have read where some are calling Scelfo the "antithesis" of promoting his program. What the heck are they talking about. I do not see a speck of evidence to substantiate that ludicrous remark. Scelfo is as active in the community supporting his program as any coach we have ever had. The charge that the recent spring parctices were closed were wrong. And judging from the tone and temper of those making that accusation, they were probably wrong on purpose. Scelfo spent a great deal of time Friday shaking hands at the baseball game and inviting fans to the Saturday scrimmage.

Observer,
I understand that you are a big Scelfo fan. I am expecting Tulane to make some noise next year and be in the running for the C-USA west division title along with UTEP, Houston and Tulsa. If this doesn't happen and they have a disappointing season, do think he should be let go?
This is of course assuming no major injuries, grade casualties, transfers of top pl;ayers etc...

Well, Tulane is already experiencing grade casualties and "transfers." But I don't usually make guesses on such issues. However, I do expect Tulane to have a winning season and to a bowl. Anything less will be extremely disturbing.
