Rowley needs to hit a 3 to get his double-double.

Big news of the night was Tony stating in the post game interview that they had worked during exam period on getting Whitman and Knight on the floor at the same time. Coach is obviously trying to shake things up. Will be interesting to see how that materializes when Whitman gets back.

Wait what?? Now that we've lost our third center we're gonna play two big men sets? That doesn't make any sense.

RE: Milligan
Do you guys think Dixon will keep coming off the bench or no?

I know it's an inferior opponent but it's nice to see many of our guys shoot really well. Hope that gives them confidence in this tough upcoming stretch.

I'd keep Dixon coming off the bench until he "earns" his spot back. He's had a slow start this year but I think he works his way back into form

In his first career start, Connor Burchfield was one of three Tribe players with 20 points as W&M scored the second-most points in school history to down Milligan on Friday night. #RisingTribe #CAAHoops

I find it interesting that Burch had 20pts in his start and Daniel had 20pts off the bench.

I find it interesting that Mike and Oliver combined for 8 points in 34 minutes.

Yeah, Tribal, good point. Unfortunately, this year hasn't been the Ollie Tot breakout campaign we were all hoping for. Our top 8-9 rotation doesn't include either Mike or Ollie so i wonder in conference play if whenever Cohn is out we go without either of them and let Omar bring up the ball.

You don't score 68 points in a half every day. NAIA team or no...that is a LOT of points! Still think Burchfield needs to play more minutes and shoot more when he's on the court. Any chance Whitman is back in time for the Rams?

Outside chance for Monday night. More likely for Rhode Island.

Whitman and Knight on the court together would be great to see. Tough for sure without a third option, but can create matchup problems inside that opens up our shooters. If Whitman can't go for Monday, could be interesting to test this out at Rhody. There is zero film for them to scout on it. We won't see it for a while game, but a nice wrinkle to throw in for a few minutes at a time.

Stop it. There were guys on the court last night that appeared to be pulled from an intramural B league game. This was a friendly practice session at best.

I would bet they don't score 68 in a half in practice either.

RE: Milligan
I am surprised that no one has commented on Knight's behind the back dribble in full stride, in traffic, as he started a break. This kid controls the ball while sprinting down the court like a 6'2" guard. He can also make free throws.

I asked Coach Shaver during a gathering in October if he would ever consider putting Jack and Nathan on the court at the same time because of Nathan's athleticism and perimeter skills. His response was pretty much as I expected; that it was something he might consider but that we have been pretty successful with the makeup of the players that we put on the court and was a bit hesitant to change it up too much. Got to say that I was a bit surprised when he brought it up in the post game, especially with Seacat leaving the team with one less center. I have got to admit that the prospect excites me.

I think that the perfect time to try it would be when we sub for Cohn, especially against teams that do not press. Three wings and two post players would be a nice change up for several minutes a game.

I would hope the plan for Whitman and Knight on the court at the same time is intended for a high post/low post game, and to help our defense in the lane, as well as, our rebounding. Despite Knight's skills, the perimeter is not where he needs to be on offense. Would be interesting to see us in our 1-3-1 zone with Knight filling Tarpey's role on the top. He's quick enough, and with that length, to really cause problems out there, and skilled enough to go the length with any steals. Just not sure he's experienced enough yet to avoid fouling.

Every time I see Knight my opinion of him goes even higher.

He has remarkable skills for a powerhouse at 6-10, 250 and we've only scratched the surface with him.
In future years this team may be built around him.

Knight plays great against teams that play man to man defense or against teams with a lot of short players. He won't have easy games like Milligan, but what he showed against Louisville tells me that he's set to really blossom. I said this in another post.....he reminds me of David Robinson when he was a freshman. I know that's crazy to say, but if you look at film of Robinson at that age you'll see the same. He is a better ball handler than Robinson. Robinson was stronger at the same age and about 20 pounds lighter. Both sort of awkward, both 6'10". Neither very highly recruited.
