To all Libturds that are against oil...
Here's a list of items that are made from oil. If you dips are so against drilling for it then prove yourselves not to be hypocrites by abstaining from using any of these products. I'll bet you can't.

Not against oil, but I am against oil companies who makes cheap pipelines that bursts and spill oil all over the place. The Yellowstone River in Montana is still not completely cleaned up.

There are still residual oil here in Arkansas from the pipe burst in Mayflower from a couple of years ago.

The problem is that this tar sand oil is harder to clean up.

I'll bet that a lot of "progressives" love Ikea, and they don't have a store without oil products.

As a mineral rights owner in the Bakken Formation, I approve of this list!

No one, including conservatives like to see oil mishaps. It comes with the territory. No one likes to travel and get into any accidents either but they happen. It's part of life and it's not in our interests that we put our heads into the sand because there might be oil accidents. So what if oil companies make money from their hard work others benefit from it, just look at the list I just put out. We need oil companies.

it's the physical construction that should be scrutinized, not the means of delivery...

with our limited, yet successful engineering/material improvements made over the last handful of decades, it should be equitable to both sides of the aisle when it's all said and done...

I mean shite....it's not like we're still detonating a-bombs in the desert anymore.....

Problem is that they want to put the pipelines along the rivers and all that which is where most of our drinking water comes from.

I see your point, don't think that I don't but that's the most expedient way of getting oil from one place to another. We could use oil tankers (trains and trucks) but don't complain when you have to pay $4.00 for a gallon. I like clean water too so what's your solution?

Along or across?

What if instead of placing the oil pipelines across rivers have them across bridges. These way any leaks can be detected much sooner. I don't know this is just one of my guesses.

Here are you pipelines America...

They are incredibly reliable and don't necessarily run along our waterways.

Trump's election and the recent opec production cap has spurned a little more activity in us oil production as well. I just received proposals for 5 new wells to be constructed

Transport by train recently has been even more of a disaster than the once in a decade pipeline issue. Trucks, of course are burning the bejeebzes out of the petrol, the petroleum asphalt and petroleum tires etc. too.

Pipeline is THE only real economical, efficient and easily cleanest, safest way to go.

That's beautiful, at last we won't be subject to OPECs whims.

ND has been hit hard the last 18-24 months. Hopefully this will help them out a little bit, possibly a ton if Trump manages to shift US energy policy and encourage domestic production.

Was hoping someone would post one of these map images.

And I wonder how many people are aware that even the crunchers in SoCal live with oil derricks in their neighborhoods and parking lots, and have for well over a century.

If the land of fruits and nuts can handle it, I'm pretty sure North and South Dakota can as well.
