ACHCA Hockey seems pretty great
How does ACHA work do they give scholarships?
Some ACHA programs draw big crowds and they have a ton of teams.
I have checked it out a little because of two hometown teams Kettering and UM-Flint.
I wonder if an organization like this could take over football or other sports.
Admittedly I know little about it just that D1 programs can also have ACHA hockey.
UNLV getting promoted to ACHA D1 made national news NAIA never does .

ACHA has three levels for men and two for women. Some DI teams are quite skilled, but they would mostly be blasted by varsity teams.

The ACHA teams are club teams, so students have to pay fees to be part of the team. ACHA DI teams have a lot of traveling plus there is expensive ice time and uniforms. Some clubs have quite involved fundraising, but other just have their student pay fees.

Some schools offer all.five levels, like Liberty and Ariz St.

Some the of top ACHA teams are sponsored by NCAA DII schools like Minot St, C Oklahoma and Lindenwood.

UNLV got some publicity on the club move because the LV media thinks UNLV will go varsity.

The NAIA and ACHA are jointly starting a new championship for NAIA members.
