RE: 2 Thoughts for Fri Night
It saddens me when fans hold back their feelings and don't feel empowered to express them like they'd want to. Damn politically correct society. Sheesh.

Did you all see how salty Keeler was that his cupcake playing team got the #5 seed, during the selection show? You know he's going to play the disrespected, "we have to play on the road in nowhere virginia" card.

We need to show up in force, be loud and forget about the cold. Make him wish he was in Huntsville, TX in front of his 5,000 fans.

RE: 2 Thoughts for Fri Night
“It is what it is. Whatever the committee is going to seed, they’re going to seed,” said Sam Houston head coach K.C. Keeler on the NCAA FCS Football Championship Selection Special. “All I know is that we’re undefeated. We were No. 3 in the country last year, No. 4 the year before. I have a better team this year, so I think we’re excited to play anyone in the country. If we have to go on the road, we have to go on the road. ... We’ve had a phenomenal year, a historic year. We’re ready for that second season.”

A sticking point is that the Bearkats, whose No. 1 ranking in the STATS FCS poll was undervalued by the selection committee and was No. 5 in the playoff committee’s rankings, manhandled a Central Arkansas team that the committee valued higher (No. 7) than its No. 11 ranking in last week’s STATS poll.

Sam Houston forced five turnovers and crushed the Bears 59-23 in Saturday’s regular-season finale at Bowers Stadium.

Additionally, in the Simple Ratings System, what is essentially computer rankings that the selection committee uses as a tool in the decision-making process, the Bearkats are No. 4 behind North Dakota State, Eastern Washington and Jacksonville State — James Madison is No. 7.

“We just took apart the No. 6 or 7 team in the country. We took them apart,” Keeler said. “We were up by 43 (points) with 30 seconds left to go in the game and they call a timeout to see if they could get a score.

“I don’t think it will affect (the Bearkats) one iota. Some of the greatest victories I’ve ever had have been on the road in the playoffs. ... So if we have to go on the road, we’ll go on the road. All I know right now is it’s either Weber State or Chattanooga. Our kids will not have a bracket or where the other games might be. It doesn’t really matter. If we don’t win this one two weeks from now, the season’s over. That’s how we look at it.”

This board has a tendency at times to go a bit over the top at times in crushing some of our opponents like Keeler. This may be one of those times when its actually worse than we are describing. I know people who work at Delaware and even when Keeler had it going there these people all said he was a flaming A hole.

"We took them apart" - what a tool!

We beat a much better UNH squad and you didn't hear Coach Houston talking like that. Keeler is a jack*ss for life

RE: 2 Thoughts for Fri Night
When their own advertisements don't acknowledge the playoff seedings, that's the sign of a bitter program. Their fans may be naive and believe they're truly the 1 seed, but the rest of FCS thinks they are morons.
Strength of schedule is a real thing. Keeler tried it at Delaware playing teams like West Chester and Delaware State.
He certainly knows how to lose at Bridgeforth and hope he brings that talent back to new BFS. I can't wait for his bitching and moaning about losing to us again.

RE: 2 Thoughts for Fri Night
Not meant to hijack and apologize in advance if this has been covered already in another thread (I haven't seen it if so), but did the UNH HC yell an expletive over towards our bench late in the game when UNH was driving for their last meaningless score?

I admittedly was about that time walking towards the parking lot so I missed it. But, my son, who was watching via ESPN-3, told me via some lip reading, it appeared the UNH HC yelled something towards our sideline (towards HCMH maybe?) like "F YOU".

Only thing I could think of was perhaps our staff was miffed that we took a knee to avoid RUTS more than it already appeared and then UNH started throwing the ball, ran a draw, etc., my son said in their last drive.

Perhaps he was wrong?? Anything to that? I'm too lazy to go back and watch the replay to see what he's referencing at the end. My son said the 2 HC's shook hands though at midfield without any angst or appearance that anything was wrong. I dunno.

Post game in O'NEILL's, I mentioned to the coach we were with that I was surprised that UNH didn't take a knee at the end of the game and he said: we were too.

I did see their coach say " the Effin Band was playing" when they got the false start penalty. But I stopped rewatching at the end of the third quarter.

I saw it and I am thinking it was "Go F yourself" but not sure who he was saying it to. (JMU or an official?)

I have a friend at work who is a Delaware grad. She said her parents are driving to the 'burg on Friday night solely to root against Keeler. Not sure if they'll be wear purple, but they'll for sure been Rootin'.

Keeler can suck it hard. I hate (no LOATHE) that guy. Him and Jimmy Layswithcock are both sonofabitches with dogs for mothers.
