This is honestly a fantastic matchup.

The Conference tie-ins we need are against 1/2(3) MAC and 1/2(3) CUSA and a P5 tie-in

I'd like to see an AAC tie-in as well. Their footprint allows for some intriguing match-ups if the wins and losses stack up right.

your right, this is a great match up, don't know much about Toledo, yet, but I'm willing to guess from what I have seen the past that they can score a lot of points, and we have one of the best defenses they will face all year. In terms of entertainment value, tough to top last years game with Ohio, but this should be a really good one

A P5 tie in is unrealistic. They are moving away from that as it is in many bowls.

There's a rest area pretty close by that I hear is really nice. Should be fine laying down the back seats and setting up shop there.

Having a hard time understanding why some App fans don't want to go back to Montgomery. The city treated us extremely well, there were ample things to do, the stadium is a historic venue and the perfect size foe a G5 bowl game. It will be close to capacity making for a great atmosphere, where a 25K crowd will get overwhelmed in 70,000 Citrus Bowl aka Camping World Stadium or the 76,50 seat Super Dome. The thing that amuses me is these same people looked forward to going to Chattanooga 3 straight years and would have been perfectly happy going many more.

We booked at the renaissance earlier today . That is where the team stayed last year.
We stayed at the Hilton double tree last year and it was very nice and walking distance to stadium.all downtown hotels will fill up fast and run 2 -300 a night

This will be a close game. Toledo's pass game vs Appalachian's run game. App will have to win time of possession to keep momentum, and the defensive secondary will have their opportunities to snag a few more ints.

I'm ready to go. Got my tickets, actually getting 2 additional, room at the Homewood Suites, and sent an email to arrange for parking on game day. Looking forward to another trip to Montgomery.

RE: Official App State to Camellia Bowl to play Toledo
Having seen Toledo the last three years, you are going to get a very physical team that executes very well. They also have great skill position players. I wish we had played them later in the year after our identity crisis was partially resolved, but even so, they are very good and soundly beat stAte 3 times.

I think they are probably the best opponent of all the bowl games. They will be much better than your opponent from last year.

If App can beat Toledo, I will be the first out front with congratulations and I might consider using an * the rest of the season for stAte's share of the championship. 01-ncaabbs

However, I think this will be a tough game for App and if they don't win, I hope some of the criticism of stAte's failure to win some of the tougher non-conference games will lighten up a little.

I will be rooting hard for App! Good luck!

Toledo scores on drives that last from 2 to 4 minutes. You will own TOP. We are one of the fastest moving teams in the country and we score on long strikes. Cody Thompson is averaging 20 yards per catch on 59 receptions... He is a Jordy Nelson big play guy.

no doubt Toledo has one of the best offenses we face all year, but no doubt App has one of the best defenses Toledo has faced all year, only giving up 11 per game in the SBC. Having said that, we seem to have a lot of problems with teams that aggressively throw down field, if you throw short in the flats you have no chance, we are very fast side line to side line, but we can be beat deep in the middle, or down the sidelines.

Is Toledos band on the same level as Ohio? If so I will make it a point to watch. Ohio band was one of the best I've ever seen hands down.
